Raymond, i asked this too some time ago to springer, for reason of faster transfer as i am reading large books (some are 700MB) and transfer via firewire is probably much faster than USB 1.1. springer said it was not possible as for encryption the serial no. of the BC is used by the TT. i think it is rather easy for springer to read the serial no. from a BC connected to the PC (or even as a temporary solution to input via the keyboard and TT remembers it), and read/write from another also to the PC connected card reader/writer, but they (springer) have to do it. Some remarks about unfiltered files on the BC: for daisy 2.02 audio books one may copy files directly to the CF, but doing so one will miss almost all navigation possibilities, one only will have just a number of separate mp3 files and the ncc.html and *.smil files are meaningliess for the BC frimware. the BC TT converts the original ncc.html, *.smil and *.mp3 files to one xxxxxx._DD (data) and one xxxxxx._IX (index for navigation), one xxxxxx._AA (reading position, bookmarks etc) is created on the BC itself later. I have a card reader and is there any way one can trick the BCTT software into copying either the text or daisy files to the flash card, as the BC wont read unfiltered files?
