I believe it may have been a ruse. I know I was hoping for such an outcome
upon hearing about the meeting in John Day - minus the fatality, of course.
If indeed it was a ruse, then Sheriff Palmer deserves our thanks as well.
Now I'm just trying to find out what went down at Malheur HQ.
