Pretty much agree with Craig.
I think it was good that OBA posted the statement to OBOL about women. OBA
owns and manages the list and guidelines and I hope it stays that way.
Keeping OBOL robust is good. Idaho list posts the guidelines 1st of each
month. I have never seen bad behavior nor even insulting posts to beginners
or those who mis-identify regularly. Maybe posting the guidelines to the
list occasionally would be good.
You are the moderator and have full sway to take action.
Moving things quickly to BOO when off the topic of birds seems perfect. The
caravans business got off topic too, psychos and moorish sovereigns, or
insulting at least which was probably annoying to read for most of us.
Bullies and anyone flaming or insulting could be filtered and then removed
if they continue one more time. Just what your statement says. Even if it
is one of the " good old boys".
Maybe OBOL guidelines could be augmented about showing respect for all or
something. And state that any derogatory post will be removed from the list.
When behavior is bad, removing the post sounds good, to stop it going on
forever. And mostly, moving it right to BOO if people desire a platform.
Many very good supportive things were said on OBOL in addition to the
bullying and misogynistic and not PC things.
Teresa, you were very clear about the STOP message and I totally support
you in stepping in each time you have had to do it. Well, once I wished you
had done it sooner but always your call.
I don't know how we can be nicer or more welcoming but not allowing the
opposite is a good place to start. I guess I can try to set a good
example.we want inclusivity.

OBA has a few hundred members, I think it's right around 300, but I don't
have the exact number. OBOL has almost 2,000, so the vast majority are not
OBA members. Do you think OBOL should be broken off from OBA and no longer
be under their umbrella?
