Good advice ... this situation (where someone posts a message to BOO
with cross-postings to several other lists) is bound to come up in the
future.
One idea on such messages could be to send one brief "reply-all" just to
say, "Look on BOO for a full response," and then follow up with a
response just to BOO. Kind of wish I'd done that ...
About the four-letter code for Eurasian Collared-Doves, I believe it's
EUCD since "Collared-Dove" is hyphenated.
EUCD might be a little closer in spelling to one of the first words that
come to mind when you hear them ... who was it who commented on their
"infernal cooing"?
