Hi all,
My Bobsy(clone) had Airheart two piston caliper front brakes and single piston
caliper rear brakes. I had them all rebuilt (bores machined and sleeved) by
White Post Restorations. My Quasar had a similar setup. They worked perfectly
for years. I was able to buy O-rings and brake pads from Speedway Motors.
These brakes were used in midget auto racers as well. Good luck and safe
racing.
Also, I do not recommend using Silicone brake fluid; it has a greater
compressibility and will cause a “long” pedal under heavy braking. I used
Ford heavy duty fluid (used in Ford trucks) which has great high temp
anti-boiling properties. I bought it from my local Ford dealer. Never
experienced a long pedal or brake fade from boiling after changing from
Silicone fluid.

Hi all, I have an SR3 version with the original airheart brake system however
the caliper sleeves and pistons have deteriorated too far to resurrect them and
wondered if anyone had spare calipers or so that I dont have to reinvent the
wheel help me please with a replacement system I see some of the Bobsy owners
using like Wilwood?
