At Bob's suggestion, I am writing this to seek information on the
four Bobsy Formula B and Formula Atlantic cars built in 1978 and 1979. I
know very little about them:
One car for Jim Trueman in SCCA Formula B in 1978, then had fenders added
for use by S Peter Smith in Can-Am in 1979, then back to Formula Atlantic
for Chip Mead in 1980, and presumably the very sleek Can-Am car used by
Smith in 1981.
One car for Bill Anspach in 1979. Nothing more known.
One car for John R. Fowler in 1979. Nothing more known.
One car for John Kowalski in 1979 and 1980. Nothing more known.
Later on, there were second-hand cars used by Dick Scott (SCCA Steel Cities
Region in 1981), Myron Yoho (NE Div in 1983) and Steve Smith (SE Div in
1987).
Can anyone add any information on these cars? I intend to write a history
on them for OldRacingCars.com, but at the moment I really don't have a lot
to start from.
