Hi
Given the cost of the cabinet is the same as the defib, and I guess we'd
need some-type of cabinet to house it indoors at a cost, I'm recommending
option A. We have said on many occasions, we get some vandalism, but not
massive amounts. We would be unlucky if this was targeted.
Cheers

Subject: [bmc] Blackhills Defib
All
Following last month's BMC meeting we now have some more pricing about the
defib unit John as asked us to consider. The attached costing sheet shows
two options
a) an outdoor installation - this would provide ready access at all times,
even when the site is not wardened. It is of course open to the highest
risk of abuse and theft and therefore potentially a much larger annual
maintenance figure than that shown.
b) an indoor installation - only available when the Clewer (Reception) is
open. It presents the lowest risk of theft or vandalism, but limits the
occasions when it would be available to generally weekends (which is also
our busiest period). The maintenance costs will remain roughly the same as
the outdoor installation.
Would you consider what you would want to be done. We have three options
a), b) or c) do nothing. If you feel it needs further discussion then it
will go on the February agenda.
Please let me know.
Best Regards
Ian Lund
