I started Practical Products in 2011 as a home-based small business.
For anybody interested, I just wanted to let you all know that Practical 
Products now has a new e-commerce site with a shopping cart and secure 
payment facilities at

    Currently, the site mainly features helpful products for parents, 
including safety, educational, pregnancy and some clothing products, as well 
as bath accessories.
Many of the items in our on-line shop are not widely available in stores, 
and may be of help to visually impaired people and their families.
For instance, under the category "Products for Solving Daily Dilemmas" you 
will find Sock Mate, a simple and affordable solution to help you keep your 
socks together throughout the washing and drying process. Various items 
under the "Safety Products" category, like safety harnesses and wrist straps 
may be of help to blind parents too.
We will be increasing the number of products of benefit to customers with 
disabilities within the coming months to include microwave and kitchen 
products, general safety products, electronic and health products, etc, thus 
extending our range to include innovative, yet affordable items that can 
help people with their everyday challenges and/or special needs.
We hope to include specialised and non-specialised items that are both 
available within the general market as well as from vendors of adaptive 
equipment locally and internationally.
We will also be offering various services, including sourcing products that 
may be difficult to find for disabled clients, and for parents, a way to 
order their children's school supplies, including personalized labels and 
stickers, via e-mail and delivered to their nearest post office or door 
countrywide.
I would like to make use of this opportunity to invite those who are 
interested, to contact me off-list with regard to the products and services 
you are looking for. As you will no doubt be aware, a lot of specialised 
products are costly, partly because of shipping costs and a relatively small 
market, especially in a small country such as South Africa.
It is hoped that by knowing as much as possible about the specific products 
and services you are looking for we can focus on the right products, thus 
lowering costs while making available what people really need or want.
