HiSomething I've been meaning to check out for a while is the streaming internet version of the ACB (American Council for the Blind) Radio thingy.
FWIW, their website is: http://www.acbradio.org/pweb/Basically, I downloaded the tuner software, and it just provides a very simple interface to launch/connect to their 4 different channels, including choosing your internet connection type etc.
You can download the actual tuner software from this page (only 1.29MB): http://www.acbradio.org/pweb/index.php?module=pagemaster&PAGE_user_op=view_page&PAGE_id=14&MMN_position=28:28 I haven't listened to much yet, but this is my understanding of the content.Basically, they have the mainstream channel, where I think they do all sorts of content, talkshows etc. etc., the cafe where they mostly play music linked to blind guys (however), the interactive channel which I think allows various people to sort of be a DJ, request content etc., the treasure trove which has classic content (was some sherlock holmes thingy when I was testing it now), and the worldwide channel, which apparently has music etc. from all over the world, and in fact, apparently, uses various languages etc. as well - might be interesting.
Like I said, very simple usable interface with hotkeys for almost everything etc.
