Okay. So a person should test first? shame on me.Alt-d does in fact sort mail by date. To sort by subject or sender though you have to go into the sort menu.
alt-e (edit); s (sort); e (by sender) alt-e (edit); s (sort); s (by subject) that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
