Hello,
I am new to the list, joining a few days ago.
I have a Phillips Air Fryer which I purchased from Amazon. They are not the
same as what you are describing. You have to be careful which one you purchase
because some air fryers have touch screens and would be difficult for us to use.
The Phillips Air Fryer has two dials: one of them is a temperature control and
the other is a timer which you can set for as long as 30 minutes. If I'm timing
something that needs to go for less time I use either my Echo or iPhone to set
a timer.
The air fryer has different accessories that you can purchase separately: cake
pan, grill pan. If you have a glass dish that will fit you can use that for
smaller vegetables or things that you want to fry.
The wonderful thing about this peace of equipment is that you use little or no
oil. If I am doing frozen
French fries, I just put them in, shake them halfway through cooking and then
slide the drawer back in and cook the rest of the time.
It is a very safe peace of equipment. I have found podcasts on them which is
how I first heard aobut them.

Subject: [blindcooks] fryers
Hello,
I'm looking for a fryer. First of all, is an induction-cooktop a frier? Has
anyone heard of the Nesko induction cooktop or the new wave induction cooktop?
I'm curious about hot air fryers.
Thanks.
Dave.
