I would love that! :-) Nadia too stepped into her role very nicely, she was 2
years and 9 months old. I put the baby's diapers in a place where Nadia could
reach them and that was one of her jobs, to bring me diapers for the baby. She
would sing to her too. We did have some jealousy now and then, but over all she
enjoyed having the baby around. She still loves being a big sister, she has
been teaching Niki her shapes and colors, just for fun, it is so cute. Not to
say they don't fight too, but I love it when they interact and play together.
:-) The first few months can be hard as baby works out sleep and all, I had to
stagger bedtime and work out nap/quiet times. :-) Enjoy.

Desiree: Heather will be three years old on May 13th, so that's the difference
in age. I must say that she's stepping into the role of big sister very, very
well. She loves and adores her little sister and always wants to hold her. I
keep trying to explain to her that since the baby can't talk yet, all she can
do to tell us something is wrong or that she wants something is to cry. It
doesn't necessarily mean the baby is sad. I think she is starting to get it.
She loves to help, so we try to give her little jobs to do that make her feel
important and needed. Perhaps, if anyone is interested, I could make and share
a recording of the four of us just hanging out so you can hear how sweet they
are together and what they sound like.

Aww huge congratulations to your family. :-) how far apart are the kids? It is
fun and interesting having them 2 1/2 years or so apart. :-) My little girls
are starting to play together a lot more now that the youngest is too. :-) It
is a lot of work but very rewarding.

I just wanted to inform everyone on list that there is a new addition to our
family as of today. Naomi was born at 5:18 p.m. local time, weighing in at 7
lb. 12 oz. and 18 inches long. Labor was only about 4 hours as apposed to 17
with the first baby, and there was no eppiderral. Mommy came through like a
champ, and had her Mom and best friend there to help her through it. I am back
at home with Heather and will return to the hospital to see the new baby and
Mommy again tomorrow. So, II may not be around much for a while. Hope
everyone else is doing well and enjoying some good food.
