BAKED TOMATO HALVES
2 lg. tomatoes (about 1 lb. or 4 med.)
4 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 slices white bread, torn into coarse crumbs
2 tsp. chopped parsley
Parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 350F. Wash tomatoes and remove stems. Cut in half crosswise.
Place, cut side up, in small, shallow baking pan.
In 2 tablespoons hot butter in small skillet, saute onion until tender. Stir
in mustard and Worcestershire. Spread on tomato halves.
Melt remaining butter in same skillet. Stir in bread crumbs and parsley.
Sprinkle over tomatoes. Add Parmesan. Bake, uncovered, 20 minutes or until
tomato is heated through and crumbs are golden brown. Makes 4 servings.
