portable recorder reccomendations

Hi everyone,
With the talk of the small recorder that steven mentioned, it got me
thinking about them. I am looking for a recorder that is relatively
inexpensive, but with all the necessary functions for recording my podcasts.
One of the groups I'm involved in here in Kentucky is working on recording
our state convention and at least for myself our national convention,
finances permitting.
