Hi Ruth,Don't worry about any lack of geekyness! I know enough to get myself in trouble, but it's your thoughts about what the list should do or look like that matter. Kind of like a car manufacturer asking you if you like cloth or leather seats, or if you want mp3 capability or cup holders in the glove compartment! And, maybe I'll get a couple more people to help if they want. I think we want to have people that are fairly active because they will be more likely to provide timely feed-back. If you recall, I think his name is Sy or something, from the blind-diabetics list on yahoo, and he had said something about helping out, but he isn't always around, so I hesitate to ask him.

Hi Dave, I think there might be some people on this list more knowledgeable than meon this computer stuff. The more people there are, the more brain stormingand ideas. Is that what you'reasking? We could invite a few more people to get opinions and ideas if youthought that would help. Keep in mind, I don't have any agenda or egotistical plans about starting or re-creating (as we're calling it) the list, I just want us all to be on a list where the moderator is accessible and involved. The web site and customized footers with freelists are bonuses (in my opinion), but not absolutely necessary. Incidentally, freelists is pretty popular, but not as well known as yahoo, so I don't knowthat we can rule out freelists by saying no one has ever heard of them. Your footer was very informative. As you say, though we may get more exposure on Yahoo. I for example had never heard offree lists.org, so how many others are in the same boat? I appreciate allyour hard work. By the way, haven't heard from Harry, has anybody? I've mentioned I like freelists for a couple of reasons, but now, Idon't like them for what is proving to be an unnecessarily complicated glitch in my opinion. I had hoped I could have a customized footer attached to the end of the messages instead of the non-customizable footer yahoo attaches to messages. After going back and forth with a person I was finally able to get in touch with at freelists, and after following some suggestions he made, the footer is still not appearing. I'm now consideringother list hosts. I think Vicki has had experience with topica, and I wasjust searching around there and noticed they have some diabetes related lists. I am not sure however that any of them are specifically for blind diabetics. I also don't know if customizable footers are possible. Do youhave any idea Vicky? In my mind, one reason that makes yahoo a good placeto be is that I perceive more exposure with them, and hence a higher likelihood of new people finding us. Anyway, at this point, I am not ready to commit to any host yet, and I am looking (again) for your suggestions and feed-back. Thanks again. Dave This is a test footer with no llinks in it.
