asking? We could invite a few more people to get opinions and ideas if

thought that would help. Keep in mind, I don't have any agenda or
egotistical plans about starting or re-creating (as we're calling it) the
list, I just want us all to be on a list where the moderator is accessible
and involved. The web site and customized footers with freelists are
bonuses (in my opinion), but not absolutely necessary. Incidentally,
freelists is pretty popular, but not as well known as yahoo, so I don't
know
that we can rule out freelists by saying no one has ever heard of them.

Well, as I mentioned previously, I'm not rushing to create or re-create
the
list. I've mentioned I like freelists for a couple of reasons, but now,
I
don't like them for what is proving to be an unnecessarily complicated
glitch in my opinion. I had hoped I could have a customized footer
attached
to the end of the messages instead of the non-customizable footer yahoo
attaches to messages. After going back and forth with a person I was
finally able to get in touch with at freelists, and after following some
suggestions he made, the footer is still not appearing. I'm now
considering
other list hosts. I think Vicki has had experience with topica, and I
was
just searching around there and noticed they have some diabetes related
lists. I am not sure however that any of them are specifically for blind
diabetics. I also don't know if customizable footers are possible. Do
you
have any idea Vicky? In my mind, one reason that makes yahoo a good
place
to be is that I perceive more exposure with them, and hence a higher
likelihood of new people finding us. Anyway, at this point, I am not
ready
to commit to any host yet, and I am looking (again) for your suggestions
and
feed-back. Thanks again.
