Dave, I have 2.42, and it is still for free. YOU are rite, when stations change
their streams, tap in doesn’t change with it. That is why stations that were
playing at one time, are no longer playing.

Subject: [blind-philly-comp] Tapin Radio Now Past Version 2.0, No Longer Free
Some of you may be familiar with an app called Tapin Radio. It is a Windows
program designed to play radio stations, similar to iOS apps such as TuneIn
Radio or OOTunes. Tapin Radio started out as a free app. Eventually, they began
offering two apps, the free version and a paid version which offered additional
features. My current version, which I think is 1.72, hadn't received updates in
some time. I thought this was odd but I don't use it often and so it didn't
occur to me to investigate. However, I decided to see what was up with the
development of this program and I have discovered that it's now up to version
2.06 and is no longer free but costs $20.00. Apparently, the older version
still works but it seems that station lists are no longer being downloaded to
that version. With version 2, station listings don't download to your installed
version but are instead kept in an online database. The program seems just as
accessible and is even a bit chattier, verifying the name of your stream as it
is loading. It also detects and even identifies your screen reader if you're
running it, something which an installed app can do but most rarely do this and
so it's a bit surprising. The cost is $20.00. The Web site for the program is
