Jan,
When you tab into the edit field of the message, you could press control-home before typing, which would force your cursor to move to the top of the document.
I've rarely used GMail's Web-based interface via a browser. If you have the time and interest to set up an email program like Outlook with your GMail account you will likely not encounter this problem.

David, I do not take it as a criticism, but I sure wish I could figure
out why this is happening. I always reply in the same way, so it's
hard to fathom why the reply doesn't always appear in the same place.
I haven't yet had time for Gerry to look over my shoulder and maybe
help me figure out what's going on. Thanks to anyone who is willing
to give me feedback.

As I may have already said, I use web-based gmail and my browser is
Mozilla Firefox. Right above the message is a row of links, beginning
with Reply, then Reply All, etc. All I do is arrow up to the row of
links, hit enter on the reply or reply all link, depending on whom I'm
responding to, and then tab over to the edit area to type my message.
I then tab over to Send, and that's it. Not sure what else I can do,
but I do wonder if the problem is more likely to happen when there's a
whole bunch of replying, rather than just my reply to an original
message.

Well, enough of this.

Hey there, Jan.
Not sure what happened but your last message wound up at the bottom of
the reply, rather than above it. This is not a criticism or anything of
the kind but wanted to let you know as I know you've been trying to
monitor this issue.

It looks like this exploit was from a year ago and was likely patched.
I'm sure we'll hear of plenty more in the years to come.

Christina, thanks a bunch for sharing this scary info. Fortunately,
we've been using Mozilla Firefox for many months now. Hope no one in
this list experiences any fallout from this exploit.

Attention! A new exploit affecting Internet Explorer was recently

Microsoft has said in an advisory that the vulnerability could allow a

Microsoft is currently working to patch this flaw. However, computers
