Hi,
ah I just bought one of these units and like it quite a lot and am glad to say
that its maker was very receptive even replying to my inquiry on a Sunday as to
whether it’d ever have an auditory indicator of battery level. It does not in
the current unit but hopefully might in future. Set up was a breeze and it
serves me well. It isn’t quite as bassy as a regular larger Amazon Echo or some
other speakers but does give you the portability plus functionality that’s
missing if you mistakenly buy an Echo tap as I did, not knowing it couldn’t
participate in the echo messaging or calling features thus it went back in
favor of the Echo dot plus Vaux Speaker alternative.

Subject: [blind-philly-comp] Blindbargains Podcast Discussing the Vaux Speaker
for the Echo Dot
I just saw that BBQ, the podcast from Blindbargains, is going to discuss
several products, including the Vaux speaker. This is, essentially, a docking
station for the Amazon Echo Dot. It gives the Dot slightly richer sound and
also allows it to operate on rechargeable batteries, although it still needs a
WiFi connection to work.
This program is available on a variety of podcast players on an Android or iOS
device. For those who are not set up with one of these apps, you can listen to
it from your computer via the following link.
