Hi,
Hmm I can’t reproduce this with my Vaux encased Dots but can with my Sonos Ones
much more easily.

Merv,
I agree in that it's quite nice seeing third-party accessories to add
portability to these devices. We purchased a Vaux the week that it was
released. I like the sound but my issue with it is that, once you have music or
a radio stream playing, the Dot's microphone is barely able to hear additional
commands, even if the audio volume is at a very low level. Of course, when the
Dot is not encased in a speaker its microphone is great but something about the
Vaux makes it practically deaf when other audio is playing. If I have a radio
station on I need to physically walk up to it, press the action button with the
raised dot and give it a command. A first-world problem, I know, but it's an
annoyance I should not have to put up with when using an Amazon Echo. Because
of this I will not purchase another Vaux if we wind up acquiring another Echo
Dot.

This is actually pretty cool sounding. I haven’t seen one before that wasn’t
marketed for the dot. I used to have the Vaux but recently went with the D6
which is made by GGMM because I liked the design and the sound better. Although
others prefer the Vaux. I’m glad to see that more accessories are emerging for
personal assistants.
