The first step in closing down the postal service was taken during the
administration of George W. Bush when congress voted to prefund the postal
service employees' retirement fund for 75 years in advance. That was when the
service began having a shortage of funds which was then blamed on people's use
of the internet. This plan to defund the postal service so that its functions
would be taken over by private corporations has been a corporate long term
project of the Republicans, probably assisted by some corporate Democrats.

Think of having the power to destroy the Postal Employees Union! Like a Fox in
the Hen House, Donald Trump's appointment to head the US Postal Service,is
impacting the lives of some 630 thousand employees, wwith the goal of
dismantling this public service and turning it over to private corporate
control.
Slow downs begin to make the term, Snail Mail, a reality, and changes in
procedures make formerly dependable services unreliable.
If we allow the American Corporate Empire(ACE)to win, it will be a red feather
in their Corporate Hat.
At the beginning of the COVID Pandemic, the following statement was issued by
the Postal Service. How many feel it is still true?
The United States Postal Service is designated an essential service for the
nation and is an integral part of the federal response to this coronavirus
(COVID-19) crisis. The following information shows how we are continuing to
deliver for America.
