Look, Hillary is a war monger and a conservative, and she was most concerned
about satisfying her donors and throwing crumbs to the rest of us. She lied,
and she insisted on being nominated when it was clear that other people,
like Bernie, would have had a better chance of saving us from Trump. At the
same time, there was this unfair innuendo related to her being a woman, that
was used against her. It was unfair and sexist. But it doesn't excuse her
behavior, her positions, or her emails. The emails mattered because they
showed her sense of entitlement. She used and unsecured server because she
didn't feel that she had to abide by the rules the way other people did.

Hi all,
I know that I've been very hard on Hillary, especially after the election.
AT least some of what has happened to her is grossly unfair especially when
it comes to, (as Bernie once put it) "your damned emails."
What she does need to own is what I'd call the inability to be direct. That
is, it seemed so often that any time she answered a question, she took what
I'd call the very long way around the mulbury bush. I believe that to be a
major factor in the lack of enthusiasm for her campaigns, both in 2008 and
in 2016. Also, she is someone who should have had the political savvy to
recognize that any effort on her part to run for president would be a very
steep hill to climb, I'd say steeper than the hills many others would have
to climb if they chose to run.
AS I said, she faced a good bit of unfairness in her attempts to become
president. But, in this lousy plastic society perception trumps reality.

Probably not. I'm not interested in power. I like sleeping late. I'm not
paranoid enough. And I don't believe that the United States is, or should
be, "the greatest country in the world". Oh, and one more thing. I'm female.
With all of that hype about electing the first woman president, there was
also ambivalence. People kept attributing all sorts of physical failings to
Hillary. The subtext was that, of course, an older woman has more health
problems than an older man.
