Our cops kill black people. If we had more Indians, they'd probably kill them
too. But in Westchester County, remember the story on Democracy Now about the
old guy who accidentally pressed his health alarm button in his sleep. When the
cops came, he told them he was OK, but they insisted on coming in. He told them
he didn't need them. They broke down the door. He was frightened and picked up
something to protect himself, I think it was a knife. They shot him. He was in
his sixties, had been a US Marine, was old and sick with a bad heart. And what
about the public housing cop who killed someone going into his own apartment in
the Bronx?

Oh sure, New York has its discrimination, but have any of your Police Officers
murdered an Indian, lately?
Down town Seattle, a deaf Indian was crossing the intersection, with a piece of
wood in one hand and his carving knife in the other. Known to his friends as a
gentle soul, he was intent on his carving, when an officer of the law shouted
for him to "Stop!" With the noise of milling people and sounds of traffic,
along with his reduced hearing and his concentration on his work, the Indian
did not stop. Later the officer said he thought he, "Felt threatened" by the
refusal of the Indian to stop and put down his weapon. Within seconds of
shouting for him to stop, the officer shot the Indian four times. I've never
heard that any of the pedestrians in that intersection felt threatened. That
is, until a gun went off and a man fell to the ground.
As far as I know, that trigger happy clown was never removed from the police
force. Do you think our streets are safer for his being there?

gunman shot a Sikh man standing in his driveway in Kent, Wash., on
Friday, March 3. The gunman reportedly told the Sikh man to "go back
to your own country."
Kent Police chief Ken Thomas held a news conference shortly after the
incident, calling the shooting "surprising" and "extremely disappointing."

The 39-year-old Sikh man was working on his car in his driveway in
Kent, Wash., just south of Seattle, when a man walked up wearing a
mask and holding a gun.
According to a report in the Seattle Times, there was an altercation,
and the gunman — a stocky, 6-foot-tall white man — said, “Go back to
your own country,” and pulled the trigger.
Authorities are investigating the shooting as a suspected hate crime,
the newspaper reported.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was shot in the arm
about 8 p.m. Friday. His injuries were not considered to be
life-threatening, the newspaper reported.
The man who shot him is still on the loose. Kent police have reached
out to the FBI and other law enforcement agencies for help.
