RIP Debbie Reynolds
Although I never stopped loving Elizabeth Taylor, I did take a fancy
to that "girl next door" Debbie Reynolds.
I think it was a scene where she was pretending to be Tammy, sitting
on a grassy knoll, dressed in a form fitting pair of jeans and a filmy
blouse, with her arms wrapped about her knees, gazing wistfully up
into a blue sky flecked with fluffy white balls of cotton clouds. For
years, whenever I felt all alone, I just imagined that scene, with me
close to Debbie and my arm around her waist. Sigh...
