Probably, if someone had downloaded the Humanware Companion software for
you, your unzipping and transferring problem would be solved. This new
program apparently has all kinds of check boxes which permits easy access to
BARD and if you check, copy book to cartridge, they say the book will be
easily transferred and copied. I just read a message from someone who said
that his sighted wife thinks it's a visually cleaner, neater setup, than the
BARD site.

It's also listed in this weeks Flying Blind Top Tech Tips by Dean Martineau.
I do plan to see if it will solve the problem I'm still having with this
computer. I can go to BARED and download the books I want, but I still
cannot transfer them to the cartridge, like I used to do. I've had all
sorts of "help", with the same result.
So tomorrow I will tackle this new "Wonder of the modern World".

resentment, innitially, at a new piece of software, but very quickly
they submitted to the pressure from the moderator and the majority of
list members. They apologized profusely for their bad attitudes, tried
the new software, and then determined that they might or might not use
it. Some people think it's wonderful. Some people are spending a lot
of time learning to set it up and use it. Many of these people
actually download most of their books to their I phones so for them,
this whole thing appears to me, to be an exercise in futility. Maybe
they just enjoy playing around with new programs or apps or whatever.
All I want to do is get the books I'm interested in reading, in the
way that's easiest and most efficient for me. There've been two days
of messages regarding this thing. By the way, if you haven't heard
about it and want to find it, it's in, "additional links", I think.
