Apparently the Democratic platform committee has refused to include specific
language condemning the Trans pacific partnership in the platform and
requiring that it not be brought up in a lame duck session of congress
(reported in Truthdig today). Instead there's language about strengthening
labor protection in trade deals. To me, this indicates that Hillary never
stopped supporting the deal and that Obama has strong armed the party and
labor into supporting it. Given how devastating the deal will be to us all,
the handwriting on the wall about Hillary's other concessions to Sanders
seems clear. She'll give in on some issues in his platform demands and he
will endorse her and we're done.
