Over 300 citizens gathered at the Quilcene high school this morning at 10:00
A.M. to determine delegates to the Jefferson county convention.
Precinct #103 is a very rural precinct in a very rural county on the North
Olympic Peninsula.
A very large county covering most of the Olympic mountains and stretching
from Hood Canal, West to the Pacific Ocean. The county population is about
30,000 persons, with the county seat of Port Townsend having 9,250 people.
The population is mostly White, retired, low income and small businesses.
The majority of the small businesses are family owned with one or two
employees, working from home.
