Hi Miriam,
Good post here. Featherstone's False choices referenced in this article is
on Bookshare and now on my "to read" list. Given her elitist tendencies,
I've always doubted her sincerity when it comes to helping oppressed women
both here and abroad. Some might say I'm holding her to an unfair standard.
But it is she who professes to be a staunch supporter of bettering life for
all women.
There's another book on bookshare which I might read on Clinton. IT is
called Crisis of Character by Gary Byrne. I consider this one to be far more
controversial given that the author used to work for the first Bush and is
one of those shills for the hard right. A friend who has read the book and
wants me to read it relayed to me the following from the book.
On one hand, Clinton has said that all women who say they have been raped or
assaulted should be believed. On the other hand, she has treated the many
women with whom Bubba fooled around like crap.
