Hillary Clinton's defeat was not in any way "stunning." Considering that she
won the popular vote handily and Trump won only by the technicalities that order
the electoral college, it was anything but stunning. But trying to blame
everyone else is definitely a lame action. She didn't visit the Rust Belt
district--Trump did. And he appeared to have empathy with the people who spoke
to him. He isn't going to do anything concrete for them, but he listened. He
won those states by using the very techniques that won Mrs. Clinton her Senate
seat for New York. She should have listened more to her husband's advice--Bill
Clinton knows how to win elections.
