In the deadliest day of violence in Gaza since the 2014 war, Palestinian
officials say Israeli troops have killed 55 people and wounded 2,700.
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said his military was acting in self-defence
against Gaza's Islamist rulers, Hamas, who he said wanted to destroy Israel.
The Palestinian Authority's leader condemned a "massacre". The UN spoke of
"outrageous human rights violations". The violence came as the US opened a
controversial embassy in Jerusalem. The move of the US embassy from Tel Aviv
has enormously incensed Palestinians, who claim eastern Jerusalem as the
capital of a future Palestinian state. They see the US move as backing
Israeli control over the whole of the city, which Israel regards as its
indivisible capital. The Trump administration proved its full backing to
Zionism. Christian Zionists are celebrating this dishonourable day. The
moving of the US embassy to Jerusalem won't alter in the slightest the
stiffly recognisable fact of this city being unremittingly the only capital
of an independent Palestinian state. This decision of moving the US embassy
to the city of Jerusalem is the end of any possibility of peace talks. The
US justifies the moving of its embassy to the holy city. For Christian
Zionists, it is a flawlessly religious victory. It is a victory over Muslim
nations. We are now led by controlled and fainthearted leaders. Our resort
to combative Jihad is absolutely inculpable. I have no other solution. The
judeo christian coalition prospered for now. But remember, this was only one
round in the battle. It is not over yet. I am sure Hamas will respond
properly to such flagitious transgression. This acrimonious act shall be
the end of any diplomatic relationships between Muslim nations and the
Zionist US. They officially declared the war on themselves with this
decision. It is the third sacred toun for any Muslim across the globe, after
Mecca and Medina. The situation is not negotiable. It is of a firmly fixated
religious tenet. It must now be the war, and nothing else. Anyone who will
say otherwise is basically a traitor and thence, must be sentenced to death
for committing treachery.
