Of specific interest is a fake news story, circulated by many right wing news
outlets that the shooter is an anti-Trump protestor who wore a pink pussy hat.
The way they created that hoax is that found a NASA employee that has a very
similar name to the shooter, then they did an image search for NASA and found a
video of a man wearing a NASA t-shirt protesting with a pink pussy hat on. The
shooter is not that man in the video and the NASA employee is alive and well.
