And I am reminded of something else. As my eyesight declined I got
myself a magnifying glass because it was becoming more and more
difficult to read. I remember being in an auto parts store making a
purchase for my car that I would have use of for a good deal less time
than I was expecting and I paid by check. I pulled out my magnifying
glass to aid me in writing the check and knowing that it looked a bit
strange I made some comment about losing my ability to see very well.
The clerk said, "And you're out driving a car around?" I just laughed it
off at the time, but he had a good point.

Hi Carl,
I worked with the same population for a much shorter time and there is no doubt
that one of the hardest things I had to do was to try to convince elders losing

almost celebrate the occasions when we were able to convince them to give up
that license and apply for paratransit.
