I don't respond to many petitions, but it is so very important to
protect the health care of all Americans, including those with

I have heard from so many people in Washington state and across the
country about just how important health care protections for people
with pre-existing conditions are to their families.
Here are a few of their stories:
- Jennifer's son has asthma, and if the GOP continues to attack
protections for those with pre-existing conditions, he could lose his
health coverage.
- Randi went for years without being diagnosed and treated for sleep
apnea because of the fear of having a pre-existing condition and being
unable to access affordable health care.
- Lesley was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. Without protections
for people with pre-existing conditions, Lesley will lose the ability
to manage this disease.
- Nichole's mother was tied to a job for the health benefits,
thousands of miles away from her family, because of a heart condition.
But protections for pre-existing conditions allowed her to retire and
move closer to her grandchildren without fear of losing health care
coverage.
- Jen's daughter Katie is a survivor of childhood cancer who dreams of
one day becoming a published author. But in order to achieve her
dreams, she needs reliable access to quality care. She shouldn't have
to live with the fear of losing coverage due to her pre-existing
condition.
These are the people we're fighting for--people of all ages living
with pre-existing conditions like asthma, cancer, and diabetes. We
can't allow President Trump and the Republicans to jeopardize their
health care by expanding junk insurance plans that discriminate
against them.

care and protections for people with pre-existing conditions. Are you
