Carl --

“There are few economists who are the equal of Richard Wolff, which he
once again proves with his latest book
<http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/democracyatwork>. Lucid, brilliant and
uncompromising in his dissection of the capitalist system he also
provides a sane and just socialist alternative to capitalist
exploitation, one we must all fight to achieve.”
- Chris Hedges

Our latest book, Understanding Socialism by Richard D. Wolff
<http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/democracyatwork>, addresses the taboos
on socialism imposed by the anti-communist US witchhunts after World
War II. Those taboos meant that socialism was rarely taught in schools
and left a legacy of ignorance about it. Socialism’s various
interpretations and its different incarnations in organizations and
movements are generally very poorly understood. How they all changed
over the last 50 years is even less well known (when recognized at
all). Our hope is that this book helps to fix all that, and thereby
helps build a new socialism.
