Prosecutor Gretchen Whitmer. Paul
The initial charges were brought under my predecessor. I reviewed the file,
watched the video footage, conferred with my Assistant Prosecuting Attorney on
the case and concluded that in the interest of justice dismissal made sense.
While we all have an interest in ensuring protests at the Capitol remain safe,
we must also observe an individual's fundamental right to protest.
