Well Miriam, one of my basic principles is to pick my fights. For
example, I am
absolutely opposed to paying the US Internal Revenue my hard earned
money to use for the illegal wars the US is involved in. I am hard
nosed about this, and I always tell the IRS exactly that reason...as I
pay my taxes. I have been protesting paying my taxes for years. IRS
does not even reply, as long as my check accompanies my protest.
I think of Edward Snowden whenever I feel like actually refusing to pay.
Will the nation make a national example out of an 81 year old rehab
teacher refusing to pay his taxes? I can assure you that the next
time my name makes the papers, will be in the Obituaries.
But regarding my declaration of World Citizenship, it is as
meaningless a claim as saying that I am a citizen of the USA. Sure, I
have a birth certificate proving that I was born in Spokane,
Washington, but can I really claim to be a citizen when so many of my
issues have been trampled on, and so many of the people I supported
and voted for were never put in office? Besides, that same birth
certificate does show that I was born on Planet Earth. And that's my
proof that I'm a Citizen of the World. I have never seen myself as a
member of the USA, First Class Honest to Goodness Citizen Club. I
can't even afford to buy me a dog catcher, much less a governor. But
I can "vote" myself into World Citizenry. I mean, who's going to
oppose me? Edward Snowden?
And speaking of picking my battles, I don't do so good there, either.
We decided to fight for the removal of a Beaver Dam that is backing
water onto our property, and compromising our septic drain field.
The absent owner of the property with the dam tells us he loves
Beavers. After spending nearly $8,000 in surveys, legal "advice", and
many agencies investigations, we discovered that we could not afford
to take a chance on going before a judge.
I go into hysterical fits of crazed laughter when President Obama
tells us that we must resist Terror. How can he protect my personal
property when he can't stop my "neighbor" from stealing my pasture
land.
No, I have come to the conclusion that Obama and his People live in a
different USA than I do. In his USA, he can wave away laws he doesn't
want to bother with. like, he can approve the murder of thousands of
unseen, innocent people, simply because he thinks there may be a real
Terrorist hiding among them. If my neighbor's kid is a thief, and I
worry that he will climb through my window while I am sleeping, and
steal my family jewels, I can't toss a bomb through the neighbor's
bedroom window. Not if I ever want to see the light of day again. So
there must be two USA's.
Oh well, enough of this silliness for one night.
I do feel better, though.
And besides, my 10 year old grand daughter is busy driving her most
favorite Grandma crazy, as they work together...sort of, to make an
apple pie. So I shall sally forth to the kitchen to enjoy the
bonding.

Frankly, David Duke and Donald Trump represent all the reasons that I now
declare myself a Citizen of the World. My energies, such as they are,
belong to serving All Peoples of Planet Earth, as well as All life. Ant
this includes the Dukester and the Trumpster. Hmm...guess we need at least

After weeks of rumors, David Duke, the former leader of the Knights of
the Ku Klux Klan, has formerly announced his bid for U.S. Senate in
his home state of Louisiana on the last day for qualifying for the race.
"The fact is that European-Americans need at least one man in the
United States Senate, one man in the Congress who will defend their
rights and heritage," Duke said in a video published on YouTube this
video.
Following his announcement, white nationalist Brad Griffin of
Occidental Dissent celebrated the news and endorsed his candidacy:
Duke! Duke! Duke! Because, why not? He is absolutely right. We need
one man
in the Senate who is unapologetically pro-White. We need one man in
the Senate who will tell the truth about Jewish power and influence.
We need one
man in the Senate who has decades of bona fide conservative
nationalist credentials and experience.
Duke has a long history of political activism in Louisiana, most
notably getting elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives in
1989. Duke got
the attention of the world when, during the 1991 Louisiana governor's
contest, he forced a runoff with the Democratic candidate, Edwin Edwards.
Earlier this year, Duke suggested he might run against Rep. Steve
Scalise (LA-R), a man who gave a speech to Duke's European-American
Unity and Rights
Organization (EURO) in 2002. After his EURO conference attendance was
revealed in late 2014, Scalise claimed, improbably as a local
politician and
former neighbor of Duke's, that he had no idea what EURO was or its
connection to Duke.
Following the Scalise scandal, Duke dropped out of the limelight,
doing the
occasional interview and attending Holocaust denial conferences until
the
2016 election cycle kicked into gear. Duke and the rest of the radical
right
are staunch supporters of Donald Trump and have used his campaign to
push their messages into the mainstream. Throughout the campaign,
Duke's name has
been in the media, most notably in February, when Donald Trump refused
to disavow his support during an interview with CNN.
"I'm overjoyed to see Donald Trump and most Americans embrace most of
the issues I've championed for years," Duke said in his announcement
Duke no doubt senses an opportunity to use this attention to go even
further
than the Trump campaign which has elevated ethno-nationalist appeals
to the
forefront of a major American political party.
