Fight against Florida prison ban on the ‘Militant’
https://themilitant.com/2020/10/24/fight-against-florida-prison-ban-on-the-militant/
In response to a broad array of organizations and individuals speaking
out, prison authorities in Florida recently ended a ban on several
issues of the Militant that they had suppressed for reporting on
unconstitutional impoundments of the paper. But they upheld their ban on
Militant issue no. 31, because they disagree with the paper’s political
viewpoint in the article “Workers Oppose Federal Cops, Antifa Violence
in Portland.” At issue is an explicit violation of First Amendment
protections of freedom of the press and the right of the Militant ‘s
subscribers behind bars to read the paper and form their own opinions.
