There you go. Never let it be said that help for blind people is behind the
times. Freedom Scientific became VFO, and now is joining with, or being taken
over by, who knows which?, a corporation the deals with accessibility for
people with other disabilities. Now we’re being served by a multinational
corporation. So you can imagine how responsive the tech people will be when
individual blind folks, not so tech savvy, call for assistance with Jaws or
Magic or Zoomtext or whatever. When I called reluctdantly about Jaws crashing
rather often if I closed a word document, (word 2016 with Jaws 18), the tech
person helpfully said, “Oh yes, we know about the problem”. Great. I’m so glad
they know about it.
