And I never mark the box on my income tax that donates to the Party of
my Choice. I would be interested in donating, if all private money
were banned, and we established radio and TV channels open to all
candidates seeking office. Without those constant ads, usually
smearing the opponents, we would simply turn to the "Political"
channels and listen to the politicians themselves lay out their
positions. My rules would be simple. Every candidate gets the same
amount of time. Each individual running for office must present their
positions, themselves. No bashing opponents. Anyone filing for an
office may have equal time. The candidates presentations would be
repeated at various times, to allow anyone wanting to hear them, the
choice of time to do so.
Those wanting to obtain basic information would have continuous
access. Those wanting to watch Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy, could do
so, uninterrupted.
