Hi all,

Check out this boatload of crap! Penn wants Democrats to move “back to the
center”. I agree with green, the author of the piece that democrats need to
move further to the left. Look at the big crowds that Sanders got which
outnumbered Clinton’s crowds by a longshot!

WE’ve been to the center and it was not a good place to be given NAFTA, welfare
reform, the crime bill, elimination of Glass-Steagall, etc.

Seems to me we haven’t had a loud, proud left since Robert Kennedy ran for
president.

I probably shouldn’t have used the word we in reference to the Democratic Party
since I happen to believe that most of its leadership is every bit as corrupt
as the leadership of the Republicans.

2008 campaign into the ground, has some advice for Democrats.

In a New York Times op-ed called "Back to the Center, Democrats," he writes...

The path back to power for the Democratic Party today, as it was in the 1990s,
is unquestionably to move to the center and reject the siren calls of the left,
whose policies and ideas have weakened the party.

Candidates inspired by Senator Bernie Sanders, Senator Elizabeth Warren and a
host of well-funded groups have embraced sharply leftist ideas.

Here's the truth: Polling shows that a majority of Democratic, Independent, and
even Republican voters support a Medicare-For-All public option, expanding
Social Security benefits, debt-free college, jailing Wall Street bankers who
broke the law, and taxing the rich.

Right now, Democratic congressional leaders Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi are
deciding what messaging to recommend candidates run on in 2018. That's why Mark

In his op-ed, Penn preached budget cuts and bipartisan compromise. OMG! Are
Republicans paying this guy to advise Democrats on how to lose?

Voters are sick and tired of small-bore, uninspiring, and right-wing messages.
They demand a Democratic Party that fights for working people.
