Subject: Mueller is done! And the DCCC has had it with these primaries.
Robert Mueller has delivered his report to the administration. It’s over.
Reporting suggests that he found no evidence of direct collusion between the
Russian government and the Trump campaign, which was the core subject of the
probe, and the thing that had Democrats most excited about it. My own take is
that Democrats made a mistake by hyping direct collusion, instead of focusing
more broadly on Trump’s crimes and corruption. The report will include plenty
of evidence of impeachable crimes, but they’ll be overlooked by the media if it
comes up short of firm evidence of explicit collusion.

If you can’t wait to read the report, much of what he found is already public,
and we pulled it together into a book (ebook and paperback),

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee warned political strategists
and vendors Thursday night that if they support candidates mounting primary
challenges against incumbent House Democrats, the party will cut them off from
business.
The news was officially announced Friday morning, paired with a statement on
the committee’s commitment to diversity in consulting — “which obviously, is
just to give themselves cover,” a Democratic political consultant who learned
of it Thursday told The Intercept. To apply to become a preferred vendor in the
2020 cycle, firms must agree to a set of standards that includes agreeing not
to work with anyone challenging an incumbent.

Akela Lacy was working on this story Thursday night, after getting tipped off
by a vendor, but then the DCCC just went ahead and announced it publicly Friday
morning. This kind of transparent corruption makes us a bit redundant. Oh well.

Yesterday I wrote about a new socialist streaming service that is launching to
try to prep the culture for a post-capitalist evolution. It’s called Means TV,
and it’s by the same folks who run Means of Production, the firm that produced
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s viral campaign video.
