For whatever it's worth, I emailed both of my U.S. Senators, Patty
Murray and Maria Cantwell. Two of the Turncoat Senators who voted for
Fast Track. This is another real life example of what happens when
well meaning citizens become public officials. When they are in
office long enough, they become contaminated. If they weren't that
way to begin with. Friends tell me, "You have to vote for them.
Their opponents are so much worse." Well, try explaining that to the
low paid workers in Washington State who will find their job
opportunities headed overseas. I'll vote for anyone who represents
Labor. That will exclude both of our current Pretenders.

Bob,

Thanks for calling this to my attention. I skipped it yesterday when it was

Hi all,

Please join with me in signing this petition. Another proud moment for one

Robert,

Elizabeth Warren - the Harvard professor turned consumer crusader turned
U.S. senator - has just re-introduced the 21st Century Glass-Steagall Act.

This is a big deal.

Join Public Citizen in calling on Congress to reinstate Glass-Steagall.

The original Glass-Steagall Act was a major reform passed in the aftermath
of the 1929 Great Depression.

For nearly seven decades, it kept the federally insured banks that working
families use small and simple - and prevented them from engaging in
reckless
speculation and gambling.

For nearly seven decades, Wall Street lobbied for its repeal.

It was repealed in 1999. You know what happened to our economy in 2008.

Now the "too big to fail" banks are even more bloated than they were before
the 2008 crash.

Sen. Warren's 21st Century Glass-Steagall Act would require federally
insured banks to separate their high-risk financial tinkering from ordinary
commercial banking services used by working families.

This is not a Democratic solution or a Republican solution. It is a
commonsense solution.

The bipartisan bill's supporters hail from across the political spectrum,
from Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) to Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

Urge your members of Congress to bring back Glass-Steagall.
