Now I feel guilty because the prison didn't occur to me. But then, I doubt
that the prisoners will benefit financially from repairing your braille
writer, while the blind guy in Iowa, Bill Ackley is his name, will. The
repair, including UPS return, is $144.33. I sent the braille writer to him
last Tuesday, free matter for the blind. He says I'll have it by this
Friday.

Speaking of Braille Writers, I have three. My own, and two donated.
All three need work. I finally went on-line and debated between two repair
services, the one Miriam chose and the Vacaville Prison. I chose the
Prison. I sent one Braille writer to them, and it should be here today or
tomarrow. Total repair cost is about $70. But it was in very sad repair.
If it is in as good repair as they claim, I'll send them a second one. The
repaired writer will go to a blind woman who lives in a group home and has
no money. She has used Braille all her life, but has never owned a Braille
Writer.
