The Intercept has more establishment support than WikkiLeaks. Greenwald may
survive. Assange will not.

I don't look for the current US government taking a stand for freedom of the
press. And I would wonder if the Establishment's Media has the guts to defend
its own free speech.
I've feared for Glenn Greenwald's well being for some time. If we don't see a
massive support rising up for him, he will surely wind up in prison...or dead.
Remember, the same sort of person rises to power within the law, as rises to
power in the underworld. Can we say Ruthless? Of course we can! It's a
beautiful day in the Empire.

ACLU Statement on Charges Against Glenn Greenwald By ACLU
21 January 20
Brazilian authorities today charged American journalist Glenn
Greenwald with "cybercrimes."
Ben Wizner, director of the American Civil Liberties Union's Speech,
Privacy, and Technology Project, issued the following statement in
response:
"The United States must immediately condemn this outrageous assault on
the freedom of the press, and recognize that its attacks on press
freedoms at home have consequences for American journalists doing their jobs
abroad."
