But Miriam, that is exactly what Bob does not understand...or perhaps
it would be better said that Bob does not accept that which you point
out to him.
For example, Bob has made it clear that his beliefs are the True Word
of Allah and in that respect they are the Perfect Truth. Therefor,
those of us who hold different beliefs, even though we are willing to
live and let live, we are speaking out against the Word of Allah, and
must be stopped. You, Miriam, say that you are an Atheist. I claim
to be an Agnostic. You and I might quibble over who is more on
target, but we accept our differences and continue to respect one
another. Why? Because we do not feel threatened by the other
person's Beliefs.
But when Fear enters into the equation, it changes the dynamics. When
I fear that you will try forcing me to accept your Atheism, I strike
back. I may call you names. I may try to reason with you as to why
your beliefs are wrong. I might attack you physically. But under my
anger and contempt, is Fear.
From conservative Catholics to frantic Pentecostals, from Far Right
Cults to Far Left Cults, Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses, Seventh Day
Adventists, conservative Jews and modern Jews and People of various
Color and desperate White Men Billionaires and Paupers. No matter who
we are, or what beliefs we hold, when we are threatened we throw up
our defenses and protect that which is ingrained in our brains and our
hearts.
And we will never allow ourselves to accept the simple solution. It
is Respect for others and the ability to live together with our
differences.
But the problem is that we are Human Beings. It is not in our nature
to live and let live. Donald Trump is a perfect example of the
problem. To the entire world Donald Trump announced that those who
stood against his decision to move our embassy to Jerusalem would be
harshly dealt with. His faithful UN ambassador, Nikki Haley, AKA,
The Parrot, actually sounded like the neighborhood bully when she
threatened any nation that dared vote against the will of the American
People. And just for the record, I, along with the greater percentage
of the "American People" do not wish our American Embassy to be moved
to Jerusalem.
Could Donald Trump live and let live? No way! He is a bully in the
greatest sense of the word. From grabbing women's crotches and
fondling their breasts, and calling any woman who disagrees with him
or calls him to stand accountable for his aggressive behavior, he
calls them whores and sluts.
And this coming from the man we put into office to "lead us" with his
shining behavior.
Behavior that he also uses to trash any man who speaks out with
different beliefs. This meanness, this bully boy mentality is so
ingrained in the brains and the DNA of Humans that we will most likely
never find ways of correcting it. But it is wrong whether it comes
from the US president, or the Catholic Pope, or the head of the Muslim
Faith, or Karl Marx, or Carl Jarvis. Unless each of us can end our
remarks by saying, "although we disagree, I respect your beliefs, and
I will live and let live".

But you do understand that if your particular branch of the Muslim religion
were dominant throughout the world and if it were your calendar and language
and beliefs that ruled, then it would be your religionists who would be
unfairly dominating everyone else. I am an atheist. I don't want to rule or

I have a concise statement for you. The whole world doesn’t have to

in the Muslim world to rely on your calendar for time keeping and
scheduling. Because our leadership \is dampened, our nation is diffident.
The ultimate battle doesn’t involve actual weapons. It rather involves
holding up to edification, identity adherence and intellectual development.
Here in Egypt, there are many secular activists who attempt to destroy our
Islamic heritage and replace it with a distorted version of the western
culture. This involves everything such as Atheism, Christianisation and
other faith patterns that are essentially western in essence. Many lay
people fell in the tribulation and complied to imperialism. But, I am
afraid, you still didn’t prosper. Arabic language won’t ever exterminate
because it is providentially preserved in a sacred text called the Noble
Koran. Because you believe in equality, you strive to make us equal with you
in faith inaction. Fortuitously, your attempts fell at the first hurdle. I
am a teacher and inshAllah, will continue to be for the rest of my life.
Despite the grave civil defeatism which has destroyed this generation, the
upcoming one will inshAllah be enlightened, conscious, religiously disciple
but not hateful.
