  Hi Carol,

No, you will have to wait for the stampede. And the roster may change as
some may elect to be moved to the bottom or new members may join.

    Hi Richard,

Since the tournament begins May 1st, are you accepting challenges sent to
you before that date?

      Hi All,

Sorry for not responding sooner, but I was gone most of the day. It
looks like Chris has explained correctly the basic plan.

      Here are some details:

      1. The tournament will begin on May 1, 2010 at 12:01 AM Pacific Daylight
time.
      2. After the tournament begins, you can challenge anyone one or two rungs
above you by issuing a challenge that you send to the Tournament Controller.
      3. If the player you challenged is already playing a challenge from
someone else, your challenge is rejected by the Tournament Controller. You can
re-challenge once the current game is completed.
      4. The Tournament Controller will notify the challenged player of a
legitimate challenge or reject your challenge if the other player is already
engaged.
      5. The Tournament Controller will maintain a list of the current ladder
indicating for each player any game in progress, any single pending challenge
and the color for the next challenge issued by each player.
      6. If the player you challenged is playing another game as a challenger,
that player has up to three weeks to complete the current game before taking up
your challenge.
      7. If the challenged player does not take up a legitimate challenge
within that three weeks, the game is forfeit.
      8. Send game results to me for inclusion in ratings.
      9. There will undoubtedly be problems and changes to the rules as we go
along so don't be surprised.

If you see any conflicts or problems let me know now not next week.

      Richard
