Hello Puzzlers,
The white queen is in diagonal with the white knight. If the knight moves
to h6 it checks the black king. This would allow the white queen to capture
a chess piece on the d7 square.
Is there a white move to lure the black queen to d7?
Doctor Z is ready to operate. My solution:
1. Rd7 Qxd7 (Queen captures rook.)
2. Nh6+ gxh6 (Pawn captures knight.)
3. Qxd7 (Queen captures queen.) Re7
4. Qxb5 (Queen captures pawn.)
If the black queen does not capture the white rook but runs, this happens.
2. Rxg7+ Kh8
3. Qxh7#
Edward
