At present I am defending a challenge from Edward. I suggest if edward wins he
should stay at the top as he will have achieved that in 2013. I do not have
strong views as to how we should change at the year end but I tend to agree
with Edward the ladder should be reversed. This means I should go to the
bottom whatever happens in my game with Edward.

Please join me in congratulating Stan Lovell for winning the Ladder
Tournament ending in 2012.
Since the players want to continue the Ladder, how do we want to mix it up
now that the new year is upon us? In the past we have reversed the standings.
As an alternative the ftp-chess list simply pushes the winner to the middle of
the Ladder. Another idea is to reverse the top half and put them under the
bottom half (rod's idea I think).
Please let me know what method the players want to use or suggest an
additional method.
