My apologies to those who have received multiple copies. Please see below
the information pertinent to the 2017 Correspondence Chess Tournament of the
German blind Chess Federation. You will notice that the time control is
rather expansive, compared to what we typically use on these Lists. When I
played in the 2015 Tournament, though, most players responded much more
quickly than the prescribed time control allowed, generally responding
within 24 hours, so don't be put off by the time control. One important
note, though, be sure to specify in your entry whether you are willing to
play against opponents using chess engines. They are allowed, in this
tournament, but if you specify that you do not wish to play against an
engine, you will be placed in a division which does not allow such use. If

Invitation to the fourth International Blind Correspondence Chess E-Mail
League of DBSB ("IBFELD")
Every blind or visually impaired chess player can take part, if she or he
can communicate by e-mail using German or English language and game
notation.
Membership to the German Blind Chess Federation (DBSB) is not necessary.
The moves will be exchanged by e-mail exclusively.

The games will probably start on January 1st 2017.
Each group consists of at most 7 players. So everyone will play at most 6
games (simultaneously).
The thinking time will be 40 daye for each 10 moves.
You can take 30 days of vacation per year.
The single premier league and the second league groups will be filled with
(hopefully 7) players according to the qualifications of the last season
plus potential wild cards for skillful players - you may tell us your entry
wishes. At the start of the tournament the participants will be informed
about the ascending and descending rules (the way classes and groups are to
be built for the next season).
