You're absolutely right, ann. I've seen scanners put in the comments
section things to tell proofers what 's going to need fixing and also
they've posted on the volunteer list warnings to proofers that the scan is
going to need work, e.g. fixing of fonts and paragraph breaks or footnote
numbers or they post that the book needs to be proofed by a sighted person
who can obtain the print book; and of course by labeling a scan Fair or
even Good rather than Excellent that's a warning; I try to take those and
leave the better scans for others not as fortunate as I
