One thing to remember about the validation queue and step 1 and 2 pages is that each has a cycle. Sometimes there are a lot of books which need validating. In a way that means we as volunteers are doing great contributing. Staff has been known to completely empty out that validation queue.
It certainly would be nice if books somehow can come to their attention particularly when a submitter or validator is close to time for membership renewal.
